Rob Cunliffe is an ex-professional cricketer who has played for Gloucestershire & Leicestershire County Cricket Clubs. He played for Gloucestershire during their very successful period, playing in three finals at lords, of which contributing a great supporting innings with Captain; Mark Alleyne with a stand of 157 with Rob making 61.
Rob now brings his infectious enthusiasm and love for the game to the coaching arena. Players of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to improve their cricket skill and understand in a learning environment with enjoyment at it's core.
A talented right handed batsman and a sharp fielder, as a teenager Cunliffe was destined to play for England having played in six youth test matches.
Technically correct, with the ability to bed down or attack with a flourish, there can have been fewer players in County Cricket with his eye for a sharp single and the ability to steal runs from a fielding side.
His innings in the 1999 Super Cup Final, where he made 61 in an electric 157 run partnership with Mark Alleyne was described as "champagne cricket".
